Young Allied Health is continuing to expand following the recent relocation to our beautiful new offices in Kirwan, Townsville. Our team currently has nine clinical staff of speech pathologists and occupational therapists and additional several admin staff, including our practice manager. Thanks to the incredible work of our amazing team, we have a high demand for our services and are always on the lookout for other like-minded occupational therapists, speech pathologists, or administrative professionals to join our team.

An occupational therapist (OT) is a university qualified allied health professional who works with people to improve their ability to do the activities they want and need to in all aspects of life. This includes things like, self-care, schooling, play, hobbies and interests. These activities are what OTs call ‘occupations’. The main goal of occupational therapy is to empower people to participate in the everyday occupations of their life.
We’re searching for a highly motivated, fun and friendly occupational therapist who values compassion and generosity in client care. Your strengths lie in working closely with clients and as part of a close-knit team to deliver excellent outcomes for families. You are known for your caring nature, excellent communication skills, and your ability to relate to people from all backgrounds. You love to provide family focused, holistic and evidence driven assessment and therapy services for children.
We’re looking for the perfect person for our team who we can invest in developing as a person and as a professional. Ideally you will have at least one-year clinical experience in occupational therapy with a paediatric caseload, although new grads are also welcome to apply. While this position will begin in a part-time capacity, you will have the opportunity to grow your income with your caseload with the option to move into a full-time position.
We’re searching for an enthusiastic and organized individual to join our administrative team with approx. 15 hours per week work. Duties will include answering phone calls, emails, assisting with client bookings, taking payments, using our practice management software, and assisting clinicians with administrative duties.
